リスのリッキー、ウサギのウーちゃん、クマのクーちゃんは、ハープの音色が好きです。
リッキーが選んだのは、ハッセルマン作曲「妖精の泉」。木の実が転がるような、細かく素早い高音域が主役。細かい高音のアルペジオがきらきら流れ出すと、どんぐりたちがコロコロ転がりはじめ、まるで曲に合わせて勝手に踊っているよう。「泉で追いかけっこしてるみたいでしょ？」
ウーちゃんは、ドビュッシー「月の光」のハープ版。優雅なジャンプと、夜の静寂を彩る神秘的な曲。月明かりの下で、うさぎたちが軽やかに、そして優雅にステップを踏んでいるようなロマンチックな響き。「満月の夜、草原に集まったうさぎたちが、月光のスポットライトを浴びて、秘密のダンスパーティなの」
クーちゃんは、スメタナ「モルダウ」（ハープ独奏版）。太いワイヤー弦が生み出す、お腹の底に響くような深い低音と和音が特徴。太い低音弦が鳴ると、森の空気が震え、雪解けの川が流れ出すような重厚な響きが広がります。「森の命の息吹と力強さを感じてゆっくりと歩き出す、冬眠明けのぼくのテーマ曲だよ」
今日8月2日は、ハープの日。ハープの音で、森はやさしい一日になりました。
The Sound of the Harp in the Forest
Ricky the squirrel, Woo the rabbit, and Koo the bear love the sound of the harp.
Ricky chose “La Source” by Hasselmans. The quick and bright high notes sound like acorns rolling on the ground. When the sparkling arpeggios begin to flow, the acorns start to roll and dance. “It’s like we’re playing tag by the spring!” says Ricky.
Woo chose “Clair de lune” by Debussy, harp version. It is a graceful and mysterious tune that colors the quiet night. Under the moonlight, the rabbits seem to dance lightly and elegantly. “It’s a secret dance party under the full moon,” says Woo.
Koo chose “The Moldau” by Smetana, harp solo version. The deep low notes and rich chords sound like a river flowing through the forest. “I feel the breath and strength of life in the forest,” says Koo.
Today, August 2nd, is Harp Day. With the sound of the harp, the forest has become a gentle and peaceful place.
